New Etsy Listing: Hot Air Balloon Baby Shower Invitations
Jess mentioned in her post that she LOVED how this invite turned out, and I would have to agree! I think it must have been the excitement in the air from finally having a baby girl coming to our group (who lives locally)! Quite often, Jess chooses the theme and colors from the baby-to-be's nursery. Trisha did such a darling job with Molly's nursery! With teal walls and pink chevron set by Trisha, Jess introduced the hot air balloons for the shower. All that to say, the shower was picture perfect and I have finally listed the invite in my Etsy shop! And it comes with a bonus item: a Thank You note printable! See a few more of the photos from the shower on Jess' blog
Kathleen’s Bachelorette Weekend Away, Bachelorette Parties Our Way
To say that I love my friends would be an understatement. What I truly mean is that having a solid group of Christian girls means that our friendship goes deeper, more like sisters. Being a Christian means that your fellow Christian friends can be so so very different from each other in personality, likes, and dislikes but our foundation is on Christ and that alone can unite us as better than friends. And this very special group of girls and I have transformed the normal "bachelorette party" from a night on the town to a weekend away celebrating the bride to be in all the things she likes to do. It usually means planning a weekend in a city an hour-ish away, going on mini adventures centered around what that special girl would want to do on a dream weekend. For our friend Kathleen, that meant coffee, craft shows, and good food. And while Kathleen and my styles can be polar opposites, that weekend sounded like it was planned for me too. Aaaalll that to say, I was quite excited for our girls weekend! Here's just a few photos of the bride celebrating the weekend away with her girlfriends with just one week

Evernotes Every Friday
Last night I mentioned that I have been quite a busy worker bee. Working a full time job leads to late nights working on freelance projects. Which then leads to no time to get an Evernotes Every post together. So this edition is going to be a little different and maybe something I can start doing once every few months (??). Today I am giving a glimpse into a few different projects that I have been brewing. I'd love to know if you like this kind of post, let me know if you like in the comments. 1. Soccer Camp Two weeks ago I worked on a graphic for the coach's t-shirts for an upcoming soccer camp at my church
Two Oh Twelve
Last year I summed up "Two Oh Eleven" as a year that had minimal changes in our family of 2 but many changes for others and I am thinking the same for 2012. January We started the year off in Colorado, snow boarding and site seeing. See Ice Castles post. While we were gone, our Bible study started to read through the Bible from cover to cover. In 90 days. It was an incredible experience. Read my recap. February Photographed my first engagement session, and I love love love how they all came out! March Rooftop celebrated their first 1st place award—in ribs! The second competition in a year full of Babies, Brides, and Barbeque! Then a few weeks later we launched the BBQ sauce full throttle in Las Vegas with a three day convention sales booth. April Hello Owen, nice to meet you! Who knew how chunky this little guy could become and steal our hearts with his gummy smile. May Hello Grayson! A baby that we all waited so long for, praying alongside his mama, grateful for him every single day and those sweet big brown eyes! Had my first paying photography client! Thank you Kirsten! June Discovered a new love for country line dancing while celebrating the best friend's 26th birthday. Rediscovered
Photographing My Best Friend’s Proposal
When Matt sent me a text message on the Thursday before Christmas I just knew what it would entail. He was about to propose to my best friend. What started as a discussion on the where and when turned into the who and what as well. I would be starting Amie's morning with breakfast and coffee with a walk down to the Orange Circle where her darling boyfriend would be awaiting her with a ring in hand. Of course, several minute details of the day caused several mishaps like Matt falling asleep after his night shift and barely making it in time to propose and Amie having one of the many colds of the winter season. Those small "almost missed the moment" moments will add the depth every good proposal story needs. I will always remember the day as the morning I cried on the phone with my mom as I drove to Orange County in the anticipation of the day. The morning I drank too much coffee to stall the soon to be bride before the [so far] best moment of her life. The morning I got to witness, and photograph, when my best friend's man of her dreams got down
A Moment: “I’m Getting Married Today”
Just 11 days ago, one of my best friends growing up got married. She is my oldest and closest friend yet to get married and I really couldn't be more excited. This past year with her has been so much fun and such an encouragement to our friendship. Our moms are best friends and they couldn't remind us enough about the value of friendship. Brittany met Eric just a mere month after Andy and I got married, so for the past 5 years I have been waiting for her to join me in wedded bliss! So that morning on November 3rd, Brittany turned to me and quietly, but excitedly, says "I'm getting married today." At her saying that, a billion memories and emotions hit me all at once leaving my breathlessly happy for my friend to marry her prince. I couldn't have been happier to join Brittany as she walked from our hotel room—where she prepared for the greatest day of her life—to get in the limo that was whisking us away to the wedding ceremony, where she would be becoming one with her love. I couldn't be happier to stand up with Brittany as she declared her unconditional love for Eric. And I couldn't be
Lauren and Kellen’s Engagement Photos in the Woods, Menifee
Well the wedding came and went in a whirlwind of fun and laughter. Now Andy and I are in cloudy and cold Washington enjoying a much needed vacation while Kellen and Lauren are enjoying a sunny ocean filled honeymoon in Hawaii. Before too much more time has past, I wanted to share a few photos I took of the almost married couple for their wedding invitation. We only needed one photo for the RSVP card so we were there and gone within 15 minutes if not less than that! Here's the photo side of their RSVP card, I will share more of the invitation (and hopefully some wedding photos) next week too. And here's two more that didn't make the cut for the RSVP card but I still just loooooove how they came out! Ah! I seriously just adore them! Mr. & Mrs. Wagoner I mean
Brittany’s Lavender and Lace Bridal Shower
Brittany's maid of honor, and sister, Torrie—with a little help from me and our moms—hosted the most beautiful bridal shower. Every small detail was attended to. One item I was able to really help with was the invitations. As soon as Torrie thought up the theme, "Lavender and Lace," I had the vision of an etched illustration of a small bouquet of lavender tied together with lace. I enlisted my good friend Rachel to illustrate my idea for me and it came out so perfect, exactly what I pictured! Rachel, thank you thank you thank you! And of course, the centerpieces incorporated white lace and a variety of white flowers, set in mason jars. All designed by Torrie. You couldn't have asked for a better reaction from the bride! Each guest received a lavender sachet for their panty drawer too, the perfect favor for a lingerie shower! Torrie and I each made a dessert, white chocolate cake pops and cupcakes made with Prosecco. Amazing job, Torrie! Thanks for allowing me to help your vision come to life! And of course, a big thanks to our moms/Tutu aunties who made sure Torrie, the mother of the bride, and myself could sit back and enjoy the shower—making sure everything
Cars Themed Birthday Invite DOWNLOAD
Last year, Jamie asked me to make a cars themed birthday invite for Eli's 3rd birthday. I never got to post it here but in honor of his 4th birthday I figured it's time to get it up! I have also uploaded a FREE PDF download for anyone who wants to use the background of the invite for your very own invitation. I've never done something like this before so please leave a comment if you'd like more of this sort of post, you know, downloadable graphics. All you need to do is add your own photo and text. I left the "Ready Set Go" on there for you though. Enjoy. Download Cars Themed 3rd Birthday Invitation
