Runway Bridal, Professional Bridal Stylist Logo Design for Tessa
Back in January, I started to work with Tessa Ellis, a hair stylist who works at Shear Envy in Wildomar. Tessa and I have known each other close to forever, aka since middle school and have just reconnected over the last couple years. Anyway, back to January, Tessa asked me to design a logo for her personal brand as she is expanding further into styling for brides. To design her logo, I asked her to fill out a brief questionnaire that would describe her business and help me with visual cues. Many of Tessa's answers followed the same theme
Jessica’s Baby Shower Invitation: Cute as a Button
Just like Jamie's baby shower invitation I posted a couple weeks ago, Jessica's invitation was partly themed to the nursery. The actual theme of the shower was "Cute as a Button" but the nursery features elephants and the colors navy, white, and gray. While researching for the invite, I saw an illustration of an elephant carrying balloons and thought, "how cute would it be if the balloons were buttons?" With that idea in mind I went to work
Celebrating 11 Years of Best Buddy Birthdays!
Today is my best friend Amie's birthday, her 26th birthday. Of course I got to thinking of our past birthdays
High School Senior, Breanna, Menifee
I have yet to have a session that I have loved so many of the final photos! I won't even tell you how many I ended up giving Breanna because it was just too many but I just couldn't keep them to myself! We did a two day session with two times to sunsets! Thanks Breanna for your beautiful smile and even your fake one! Congratulations on graduation, excited for where God takes you from here! (I seriously ended each sentence with an exclamation point
Jamie’s Baby Shower Invitation: Woodland Creatures
The theme for Jamie's baby shower had been decided to match the nursery for baby Owen: woodland creatures. And when Jamie posted a photo of this little fox plush from Sleepy King on Etsy,** that she had purchased for the nursery, I was inspired to match the invitation to the same look and feel. The color palette was pretty open, natural earth tones. I've always loved Jamie's taste and was excited to create a shower invitation that was unique to her. The shower itself, you can see Jessica's post about it on her blog, was the most adorable shower I have ever been to. Everything was detailed to match the theme down to the food which included acorn cookies and little fox chow. So so cute! Jessica also asked me to make a little print with Owen's name on it for Jamie to keep after the shower as well! And you can see in this photo the wood and other stuffed animals Jessica used to decorate. Again, it was all just so cute! Little Owen was welcomed into the Chapin family already 7 weeks ago (I am so behind in posting this!!) and he's just as cute as I pictured him to be!
A Moment: Bug’s Land with Deegan

Stagecoach 2012 Is Coming!
With weeks of planning, Rooftop BBQ is heading to Stagecoach Thursday morning to compete plus vend to the public for the three days of the shows. I don't know about you but I am most excited to see Steve Martin perform. I may be the only one who is more excited for a band that isn't even headlining. So who else is going?? I was looking up photos for the Rooftop blog yesterday so I thought I'd share some from the event last year too! Like when we met some of the members of the Rascall Flatts band! Or like when Lauren and I finally figured out we could save seats before the public and we were on the jumbo screen! I am especially excited for next week when my hubby can finally relax after a very long month of work and BBQ! But seriously, who's going?? Let's meet up! And if you are going to be there, make sure you come by our BBQ booth: Rooftop BBQ!
A Moment: Trio Then and Now
I was always the one with a camera in hand throughout middle school and high school. Because of that, I have folders upon folders of horrid photos of my friends growing up in the Elsinore quad. A couple weeks ago we celebrated my friend Brittany's 26th birthday. It got me thinking that we were there with her to celebrate her 16th birthday, 10 years ago! Whoa. So I just had to dig through old scans of our high school days. The above photo was from Freshman year, the infamous "I just love big bows" day. And this next photo is us on her sixteenth birthday
A Moment: Girlfriends
Thank you so much Ebony for taking the above photo of us girls at Jess' baby shower last weekend! I asked Jess to send it to me and when she did I just couldn't stop looking at it and thinking about this moment in our lives. These are the moments that make life so complete. While surrounded by friends and celebrating these new babies about to be born, I just can't help but feel like I am about to burst with excitement! I just look at this picture and think that this is a moment frozen in time, a moment before Jess becomes a mom and the new life of motherhood truly begins. A moment before Eli becomes a big brother and Jamie is a mother of two. ((Not sure if I have said this enough, I just can't wait to meet baby Owen and baby Grayson!)) Plus, this is a moment before Lauren becomes a Mrs. and Caitlin becomes a college graduate! This is the type of photo that we'll look back on when we're older and say "Remember when
