One of my favorite traditions is buying our annual Disney ornament! I featured our 2011 ornament last year along with several others from previous years. This year's ornament, similar in look to last year, is our 8th annual ornament from Disneyland. I think some of my favorite Disney ornaments though are from their more rustic collection—which feature a more vintage Mickey and Minnie—wish they had these out again this year. Another new ornament this year was from our trip through Oregon, from Mutnomah Falls! And lastly, remember this beauty from the Vintage Marketplace? Well, I had a migraine and had to miss the ornament exchange, so look who is sitting pretty on my tree? What are some of your favorite ornaments?

1. Wendy Macnaughton's Site I love the handwritten look in print but for one of the first time's I have seen, handwriting throughout a website. Kelli Anderson has designed a website for artist Wendy Macnaughton and to truly capture Wendy's style and work, Kelli created a simple and clean site utilizing Wendy's art throughout, down to the smallest details like the links! Another awesome hit out of the park, Kelli! Found via Dribbble. 2. Disney Artist: Brittney Lee Thanks to a recent post by D23 on Facebook, I rediscovered Brittney Lee, an Visual Development Artist for Disney. After going through Brittney's work I actually found a few pieces I save quite some time ago—years ago actually. But of course my favorite piece from her recent work (2011) has to be the following of the mermaid lagoon in Peter Pan. I love the playful expressions and the bright colors, all coming together with such energy! And even the way the silhouetted trees give a vignette to the piece as a whole. New fan right here! 3.  Vintage Disneyland Postcard I love how modern illustrationists have come full circle back to the 50's. Doesn't this postcard design look like what many are trying to product today? I

1. DIY Project: Tiny Doors What a fun little detail for any home! Would be a great kid's project while they study any mouse related books in school or at home! Found via Design*Sponge. 2. An Illustrated & Whimsical Wedding in the Desert They had me with their whimsical illustrated wedding invites but I couldn't stop going through the rest of the details. So so cute! Like the guest book made from individual quilt squares? Amazing! Found via Green Wedding Shoes. 3.  My Ideal Bookshelf Ever since seeing this book I have been wondering what my ideal bookshelf would contain. Now that is a hard decision! Book by Thessaly La Force (Editor), Jane Mount (Illustrator). Found via swissmiss. 4. Try the Grey Stuff, It's Delicious Sometimes I will save an image just to be able to recall the article at a later date, such as the case of this review of the brand new Be Our Guest restaurant at the newly renovated Fantasyland of Walt Disney World. It's truly a detailed article about the restaurant from its high-tech ordering system to photos of each of the various rooms—from the Beast's lair to the ballroom—to photos of several of the dinner options. All this to say, Disney is

I am still in shock that it's November and we are already in to week 2? Say what?! Last weekend was one of my best friends since elementary school's wedding. It was amazing. The bride was radiantly beautiful and the reception was "get on your feet and don't stop dancing" fun! I always try to have my "photo of the day" reflect the major happenings of the day but of course the prompt on the wedding day was breakfast

1. Monsters University It's a known fact that I love Disney, and then of course Pixar! Pixar puts all effort and full quality into each and every one of their movies and for the upcoming Monster's University they even designed a website to correlate. And not just a homepage, you can click around and even purchase (of course) MU apparel, unfortunately the multi armed monsters have to wait for their sweatshirts as they are either sold out or coming soon! Found via swissmiss. 2. Sony Music Timeline On the walls of the London headquarters for Sony,  Alex Fawkes has designed 54 2 meter tall vinyl panels full of beautiful black and white typography. The occasion? Sony' 125 anniversary! The panels depict the many (nearly 1,000) artist names from the Sony label. What a great way to honor the past and present. Found via Pinterest, originally from Type Worship. 3.  iFontMaker for iPad I wish I had added an iPad to my 26 Wishes post, because then obviously I would have gotten one for my birthday, right? Elsie from A Beautiful Mess just posted about her handmade fonts created with iFontMaker. Sounds so easy, unlike in the past where I have looked into creating my own

1. Jess & Russ Wedding Site The most epically amazing website that tells the story of Jessica Hische and Russ Maschmeyer and their relationship from the beginning to the engagement. And sprinkled throughout are amazing illustrations done by various artists. And it's one of those scrolling and scrolling and scrolling sites. Love them. First found via designworklife. 2. Disney/Pixar Brave Poster Loving the creative use of negative space in Merida's hair! Designed by Michael DePippo (featured his Muppet posters way back when), found via designworklife. 3. Style Redesign Brand Video This logo and brand come ALIVE in this video! You truly get the feminine energy while watching it and get a good idea on what Style is all about. I love the various looks of their logo signature too. Sigh. Designed by Gretel, Found via Brand New. 4. Hashtag for your Wedding! As an Instagram addict, I love the idea of having your very own hash tag for your wedding. #genius Found via Green Wedding Shoes. 5. How Flabby is Your Brain? Pretty flabby

Finally we found a day to take photos of Rachel and Patrick around the Disneyland Resort. We wanted to keep to the areas that looked like the 20s-40s but didn't stick that plan entirely. It was fun finding different locations that were within the park but didn't look like we were actually at an amusement park. The summer crowds were quite the challenge to work around but Rachel and Patrick were in high spirits the whole afternoon and were a pleasure to work with as always. You may remember a few photos of them from last year taken for their senior prom. And here we are a year later

I MISS DISNEYLAND! Okay, so it's only been a month since I've been, but just knowing that my pass has expired makes me sad. I need to go and soon. To help with my aching, I was looking through some photos from past trips and realized I had never posted these from my first and only time seeing the Soundsational parade at Disneyland. I am so out of touch of my Disney-ness that I don't even know if this parade is still going! What is wrong with me?! Anyway, enjoy a few photos from the parade as I continue to ache for the happiest place on earth
