Seattle Trip Tips
So now that my major bridesmaid duties have past and our anniversary hotluck is over, I am ready to start looking forward to October and the wonderful adventure that Andy and I will be taking come Ocotber 15 (my hubby's 30th birthday!!!). Which leads to, what should we do and what should we see in Seattle, Washington? Heck, what about the way up there and back from sunny So Cal? But before I get these amazing trip ideas, let me tell you we did a whirlwind of a trip there and back in 2008. Seattle 2008 We started the day off right with a ferry trip in

This was just as productive as ever for the brides to be! Between a double header of bridal showers and the coming conclusion of some major work projects, I am beat and am using Labor Day today as a day or rest and recovery with some startings to new upcoming projects. Hope you have a wonderful Labor Day as well

What a whirlwind this week has been since we've been home. I don't remember I have been this tired, been a little busy bridesmaid bee getting stuff ready for each of the girls' showers that I am helping to throw plus a little side thing for each of them (will share more later). But I am just getting so so so excited for these next 2.5 months! Crazy and sad to know it will be all over then, well not over over, just the wedding festivities then its fun nights out with our married friends! So so fun! Speaking of married, I was so happy to see that Friday's photo prompt was ring
A Summer in South Dakota Pastures
Just last night Andy and I got back from a week spent in South Dakota on his grandparents' ranch. It is literally in the middle of nowhere. One hour to the nearest town=gas, groceries, shopping for the necessities of any kind. I just went through the 700 photos I took on the ranch and chose a few that truly sum up our time there and the feeling you get there, there's a sense of peace when there's no Internet, no neighbors, no distractions of any kind. It was pretty hot there, of course not even as hot as home is in Southern California right now, so we stayed indoors most the day unless we went in to town which is why many of these are taken at sunset. Truly the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen, starting with the first one during our flight on a little prop plane from Wyoming to Pierre, South Dakota. The Lyons' have had many horses throughout their time here but right now they just have two, Shadow and Sell. I loved seeing them silhouetted against the sunset on our second night there. Well here's one that wasn't even taken on the ranch and not even

Well I just got back from a week's trip to South Dakota to visit my hubby's grandparents who live on a 1,700 acre ranch in the middle of nowhere. All you can see from their house is pasture, cows, and an adorable white church up on the road. Since most of these never even made it to Instagram, there's a bigger description below than the usual
Photo A Day, July—Week 4
For me, the week leading to a vacation is the most stressful just trying to wrap up all the various projects I have going on. But now I am on vacation, baby! Whoo! I spent this last week wrapping up a website at work while also working on wedding and bridal shower invitations. I am totally spent and am looking forward to a week away from the computer. I plan to have my nose stuck in a book the whole time I am not playing with the kiddos or riding horses. Serenity now! 24/a stranger, 25/heart, 26/sunshine, 27/on the road, 28/cup, 29/last thing I bought, 30/calm, 31/toothbrush Join in on the fun this month with Photo A Day August! The Year of Babies, Brides, and BBQ (June & July)
This is a lighter post of the series but it's truly the calm before the super fun storm coming up! Babies! Jameson Little Jameson has been growing and growing and growing. It's been almost two months since I have seen him but when I did get in a visit he got to show me all his new tricks like eating baby food from a spoon and bouncing in his bouncer. Oh I miss him, Mama Courtney!!! Owen!! Baby Owen has been chunking up before our very eyes. All I want to do is kiss those cheeks!! I am so thankful for how much time we spend with the Chapins and their boys. Owen and I got to spend a few special "first time with Sam" moments together all in one night, I got to feed, burp, and put him to sleep, and then he peed and spit up all over me! It's love for sure! Grayson!! Oh and this baby. He's still the smallest of course but there's evidence of a second chin coming in! Not only did I get the chance to feed him too, we even got to have a slumber party with all the cuddling I wanted! Plus Jessica and I worked on his
