Josiah’s First Birthday Woodland Creatures Invitation
This past year evolved from baby shower invite craziness to first birthday invites! How cool is that?! McKensie asked me to make her little Josiah's first birthday invite and wanted it to have a woodland creature feel (in her Google search for this she found Jamie's invite from earlier this year, that was pretty cool I must say!). She sent me some ideas on the colors and type of animals she was looking for, which was such a big help in getting on the same page for what she wanted. With that in hand, I could confidently move forward with the design knowing exactly what she wanted but with room to add my own touches. The mood board also helped me figure out my own design rather quickly, and even though I had a pretty solid idea in my head, I sketched it out so the smaller details wouldn't be forgotten
Lauren and Kellen’s Engagement Photos in the Woods, Menifee
Well the wedding came and went in a whirlwind of fun and laughter. Now Andy and I are in cloudy and cold Washington enjoying a much needed vacation while Kellen and Lauren are enjoying a sunny ocean filled honeymoon in Hawaii. Before too much more time has past, I wanted to share a few photos I took of the almost married couple for their wedding invitation. We only needed one photo for the RSVP card so we were there and gone within 15 minutes if not less than that! Lauren’s, Picnic in Central Park Themed, Bridal Shower Invitation
For quite some time now I've been wanting to illustrate a mess of iconic places to symbolize the whole location(?? does that even make sense??) so when we decided to throw Lauren a "picnic in Central Park" themed shower, I thought, I can illustrate the invite!!! <--- longest sentence ever? The one and only time I have ever been to Central Park was one evening in 2005 where we spent the remaining half hour of daylight being drawn by a character artist which resulted in my only seeing Central Park in the dark—which was kinda scary. All that to say, I had to Google Central Park and when I found the carousel, I thought that to be the focal point of the invite and the weight of my illustration. From there I went on to draw the elements that we planned to use at the shower: picnic baskets, kites, flags, and banners. Oh and there would be a lake to with boats! Yay! Thank you Canyon Lake! We used bright reds, blues, greens, and yellows all throughout the shower from the red hotdog and popcorn stands to the bright multi colored pendant banners. Somehow these little guys never got posted! So now is better than never right? I designed these quite awhile go for my church but just a few months ago we rebranded them to the new look and feel of the church that was incorporated last Easter. I love the richness of the warm oranges and reds. Brittany’s Lavender and Lace Bridal Shower
Brittany's maid of honor, and sister, Torrie—with a little help from me and our moms—hosted the most beautiful bridal shower. Every small detail was attended to. One item I was able to really help with was the invitations. As soon as Torrie thought up the theme, "Lavender and Lace," I had the vision of an etched illustration of a small bouquet of lavender tied together with lace. I enlisted my good friend Rachel to illustrate my idea for me and it came out so perfect, exactly what I pictured! Rachel, thank you thank you thank you! And of course, the centerpieces incorporated white lace and a variety of white flowers, set in mason jars. All designed by Torrie. You couldn't have asked for a better reaction from the bride! Each guest received a lavender sachet for their panty drawer too, the perfect favor for a lingerie shower! Torrie and I each made a dessert, white chocolate cake pops and cupcakes made with Prosecco. Amazing job, Torrie! Thanks for allowing me to help your vision come to life! And of course, a big thanks to our moms/Tutu aunties who made sure Torrie, the mother of the bride, and myself could sit back and enjoy the shower—making sure everything
Grayson’s Baby Announcement and Family Photography
I just adooooore how this birth announcement came out for my good friend Jessica's baby boy Grayson! Just loooove it! Another thing I love is when Jess and I get to come together and use both of our gifts! She took each of these just adorable photos of her son and then I designed the card from the laying out of the photos to the type on the banner. Isn't he just the cutest??! Jessica has such a talent for newborn photography! And I am sure she felt pressure on her own son's photos but they are just amazing. And another note, Jess is such an AMAZING mother. I've luckily seen her love in person for her little boy but she blogs the sweetest little posts about her baby boy and the joys of being a mom. Jess also asked me to come by and help get a family of three photo for her. Which was quite nerve racking
Baseball Ticket Save the Date, Lauren and Kellen
When our friends Lauren and Kellen booked their engagement session, with Lindsay Chavez, at Angels' Stadium, the first thought I had was to make their Save the Date look like a baseball game ticket! Their actual wedding is themed with outdoor rustic and camping items, which is totally them, but baseball is another fun activity that they love to attend and follow. So in keeping with the rusticness of their wedding we created a vintage baseball ticket for their save the date. Adding another fun twist is that Lauren is a huge Yankee fan while Kellen just loves the Angels, so what better teams to come together for a game of baseball! And I just love the way the final product came out! While researching baseball tickets and their various looks, I came across this Angels' ticket from 1962! From then on, I knew we were on the right track! And the rest of the design flowed from there. So excited for your wedding in October! Love you both!!

Last year, Jamie asked me to make a cars themed birthday invite for Eli's 3rd birthday. I never got to post it here but in honor of his 4th birthday I figured it's time to get it up! Runway Bridal, Professional Bridal Stylist Logo Design for Tessa
Back in January, I started to work with Tessa Ellis, a hair stylist who works at Shear Envy in Wildomar. Tessa and I have known each other close to forever, aka since middle school and have just reconnected over the last couple years. Jessica’s Baby Shower Invitation: Cute as a Button
