Photo A Day, December—Week 1
This was a pretty great week, where I am concerned! Last weekend was a busy one but so so much fun! My mom and her friends and I went to the Vintage Marketplace, got some Christmas shopping done, and then Sunday I went to Disneyland with Jamie and Eli. Ugh, so so much fun! This weekend was full of a busy work project, Christmas card designing, oooo-ing and ahhhh-ing over a friend's new 1920's engagement ring, new client meetings, and to top it off, house decorating with the husband last night. This is gonna be a good Christmas! Love to you all
Vintage Marketplace, Christmas Traditions 2012
Last year, I started attending the Vintage Marketplace. An craft fair held several times a year in Rainbow, California. Every year, the December fair is themed to Christmas and has a plethora of handmade and vintage goodies that are all about this wonderful holiday! This year, I asked my mom and her fabulous and fun friends to join me. We each walked away with a handful of goodies and gifts, and even a plant! Here's a few (okay, many) photos of this past weekend's adventures to the treasure trove at the Vintage Marketplace. Junk Art Gypsy This booth is new to me as I missed the summer market. Junk Art Gypsy has a very unique and different vibe than all the other vendors here, with more of a 50s feel and style. The large lit up letters would be so cool to have in any home, even though I ended up not purchasing one, I am hoping to find a home for one somewhere—anywhere—and pick one up at the next fair in March. Photo A Day, November—Week 4
Today starts the last month of 2012. Which means it's time to wrap up the thankful month of November and move into the Christmas tidings of December. This last week was just wonderful. The weekend was filled with two photo shoots, visits with friends, and even a little home rearranging around our new tv. I was actually super excited (not kidding) that the last prompt of the month was "on the wall" as I just redid this "little gallery" over the weekend. And I waited. all. week. to Instagram about it. Oh it's the little things in life, right? Oh and do you see that first photo of Mr. Grayson? Isn't he adorable? I got to feed him baby food for the first time, and I must say it was pretty fun. He didn't get quite as crazy as Mr. Jameson did, but his little sounds asking for more were just adorable. How do I love all these babies so much? Each and every day my heart just grows and grows. Watching these babies grow really helps me see how God views us, taking pleasure in the small moments, and loving each one just as much as the other, just as unconditionally.

Okay, I am still in shock that summer has come and gone but now it's almost December and almost Christmas. Making these collages each week makes everything seem to go by so much faster but I just can't stop. Well of course, now that the wedding season is past, it's back to being all about the babies. They just keep growing, what's up with that? My week included snuggle sessions with some 6 and 7 month olds, lots of Christmas jammie sessions, wedding scrapbook creating (and one completing), some turkey and giving thanks, and then the craze to the end the week with some Black Friday shopping. Couldn't ask for much more than that. :) Oh, and a little P.S. right here: did you get any Twinkies or Hostess cupcakes this past week? My husband went out and grabbed a box the day of the announcement. This last week was a wonderful combination of business and relaxing-ness. We had an out of town (Laughlin) BBQ competition last weekend, the best part was that we weren't vending food so us girls just got to relax, play cards, and just catch up with one another. Another fantastically great part was that the whole Chapin family got to come out, so that not only meant time with Jamie but with her adorable kiddos (seriously look at those faces! ugh!). After a great weekend, this week so far has been so nice too. Busy yet not too much, a great balance of work/freelance with some downtime at night and I even got to fit in a Disneyland trip for a couple hours on evening! Whoo to the hoo! Allens Head North: Spooner Farms (Corn Maze), Washington
Our last day up in the PNW (Pacific Northwest for those not in the know), was spent with my husband's wonderful cousin and her growing family. They were just the best hosts and found a beyond amazing corn maze to get lost in. Let me tell you, no corn maze in Southern California can ever ever compete with this gigantic field. The photo to the left shows just how massive this truly can be (from 2011). Not only do they have the corn maze but you can also get your Halloween pumpkin (30 cents a pound) or choose from dozens of various squashes and other pumpkins. But our first event of the day was getting in on the pumpkin throwing contest. If you hit the target you win a prize! Jason came close but no gong. I just adore Ethan's face in this next photo, mischief was about to ensue I am sure! On to the corn maze we go, if you're scared of clowns, not sure you would make it passed the entrance. Everyone was given a map which was actually quite accurate to the maze itself. One "cheater map" was given that showed various landmarks throughout to orientate you. Randomly placed

I am still in shock that it's November and we are already in to week 2? Say what?! Last weekend was one of my best friends since elementary school's wedding. It was amazing. The bride was radiantly beautiful and the reception was "get on your feet and don't stop dancing" fun! I always try to have my "photo of the day" reflect the major happenings of the day but of course the prompt on the wedding day was breakfast
Allens Head North: Pike’s Place, Seattle
If you were to ask me what my favorite part of our Washington trip was, I would have to say that I just loved spending time with my husband. Sadly, time together has become a rare occasion this year. Our trip allowed us to reconnect because it was simply just the two of us traveling around, in one of our favorite places, during our favorite time of the year. Another great thing about our trip was that while staying in the city of Seattle, our hotel was a mere block up from Pike's Place, the public [farmer's] market. Andy and I lost count how many times we actually made our way down there whether it was for breakfast (best donuts ever!), lunch (sandwiches from the Italian deli!!), or dinner (tamales from the Mexican grocer!!!). Oh and for fruit (mmmm best honeycrisp apples everrrrr!)!!! And of course, just visiting the various shops. We were able to just take our time and meander through the whole market, which I had never done since there's usually never time for it. Pike's Place is quite the tourist center, but all the shops are built by the locals so there's a great combination of cultures, i.e. great
