This past week was a mixture of business and relaxiness—my favorite! My not so favorite part though was an almost daily headache each and every morning. Some days it would eventually go away, most days it lingered. I think I would rather have a gut wrenching headache for 2 hours a day rather than this annoyance thorughout the day. So I am thankful for no headache today (whoo :)) And am thankful for a week where I got to snuggle while listening to the rain, have dinner at the newlywed Totahs', wedding plan with the best friend, and continue to work from home in my slowly evolving office space. Life is good. 24/stripes, 25/landscape, 26/together, 27/sun, 28/through, 29/grow, 30/down, 31/yourself With today's completion of January's Photo a Day, I have now been taking at least one photo a day for a whole year as I started following Fat Mum Slim's prompts last February. I may have missed a few days so let's call that 358 photos. :) Whew! Join in on the fun in February, check out the Fat Mum Slim blog to get the list and Chantelle even gives some photo ideas for each day.

After wrapping up a major work project; my hubby, in-laws, and I drove out to Arizona to spend some time with family. It was a nice little getaway and a break from the routine. And it barely consisted of any BBQ whatsoever—again, a break in the routine getaway. I say barely because we actually had a BBQ related meeting with one of the team sponsors along with getting to visit a store that carries the Rooftop BBQ Competition Style Sauce—all very cool! Speaking of which, I really need to do a design post on all the random pieces we've worked on to get Rooftop where it is today. Well, anyway, hope you had a lovely weekend and will be having another splendid January weekend coming up. 16/two things, 17/ready, 18/shadow, 19/delicious, 20/something I saw, 21/what I do, 22/corner, 23/electric P.S. It's not too late to join in on the fun, check out the Fat Mum Slim blog to get the list and Chantelle even gives some photo ideas for each day.

Guys, I am so tired. It sure has been a long week. Such a crazy productive week at work, topped off on Sunday with a day with friends celebrating a very special little one's first birthday and finding the perfect wedding venue for the best friend. All in all, my long week was a good week indeed. Oh and that last photo? That's my and my honey 8 years ago from today, about to watch Fantasmic at Disneyland with our best friends just after becoming *officially* boyfriend and girlfriend. Awwww

When Matt sent me a text message on the Thursday before Christmas I just knew what it would entail. He was about to propose to my best friend. What started as a discussion on the where and when turned into the who and what as well. I would be starting Amie's morning with breakfast and coffee with a walk down to the Orange Circle where her darling boyfriend would be awaiting her with a ring in hand. Of course, several minute details of the day caused several mishaps like Matt falling asleep after his night shift and barely making it in time to propose and Amie having one of the many colds of the winter season. Those small "almost missed the moment" moments will add the depth every good proposal story needs. I will always remember the day as the morning I cried on the phone with my mom as I drove to Orange County in the anticipation of the day.  The morning I drank too much coffee to stall the soon to be bride before the [so far] best moment of her life. The morning I got to witness, and photograph, when my best friend's man of her dreams got down

You guys, it wasn't until I was putting this collage together that I realized that each and every photo was taken from inside my house. Which led me to realize I have only left my house on two occasions this year, once to go to bible study and twice to get my haircut. Why you may ask, well the first reason being my headaches have come back in full swing so the new year was brought in with me sick to my stomach catching up on the show Felicity (remember that from high school??)

Huge thanks to the Johnson family for being my first family portrait session! I could not have asked for a better family, better weather, or a better location for this session. It was perfect! We took these the weekend after Thanksgiving but as they were a Christmas gift to family members, they had to be locked up tight! But now that Christmas has been celebrated, let's carry on the festivities with a little Christmas portrait viewing! P.S. You may recognize Rachel for a bazillion other posts on here, this growing photography obsession got a huge start from her modeling services!

You know when a week goes by fast, it's hard to recall how awesome it was. Well looking back at these photos really makes me appreciate just how amazing this week was. Each and every one of these photos was taken in the fellowship of great friends  (or babies). Each of every one of these moments included good food and even better company. And take note of day 22, my best friend Amie got engaged! I can not wait to post more on that later! It deserves a post all on its own! :) 16/something I made, 17/on the floor, 18/makes me feel merry, 19/something beginning with 's', 20/weather, 21/tree, 22/decoration, 23/joy is _____
