1. Sugar Cookie Cheesecake Bars After a few failed attempts using recipes found on Pinterest, I thought I would try again with these Sugar Cookie Cheesecake bars. I am pretty sure they were successful—at least in tasting what I thought they would! However, I had left out the toffee chips as the topping. Have you made some goodies from Pinterest? Link up in the comments! Found via Pinterest. 2. Esquire with Ryan Gosling Love the handwritten type juxtaposed with a gritty black and white photo of Ryan Gosling. A school project by Sara Kovacs, found via Pinterest. 3. One Flew South I've been a fan of Alvin Diec's work for awhile, but hadn't seen One Flew South until this post on the Graphic-Exchange. I love the use of simple overlaying shapes and lines. The same look is cohesively incorporated into their website as well. See more of this project and more of Diec's work. 4. Geological Street Art I love street art! It's just so pleasantly unexpected! Found this gem (get it??) on Inspire; to breathe. 5. Behind the Scenes with Trever Hoehne As my interest in photography keeps growing, I love seeing the behind the scenes videos of photography shoots. Watching how photographers adjust their models and seeing

With weeks of planning, Rooftop BBQ is heading to Stagecoach Thursday morning to compete plus vend to the public for the three days of the shows. I don't know about you but I am most excited to see Steve Martin perform. I may be the only one who is more excited for a band that isn't even headlining. So who else is going?? I was looking up photos for the Rooftop blog yesterday so I thought I'd share some from the event last year too! Like when we met some of the members of the Rascall Flatts band! Or like when Lauren and I finally figured out we could save seats before the public and we were on the jumbo screen! I am especially excited for next week when my hubby can finally relax after a very long month of work and BBQ! But seriously, who's going?? Let's meet up! And if you are going to be there, make sure you come by our BBQ booth: Rooftop BBQ!

1. Jacqueline Fleury's Business Cards Even though these business cards, designed by Sylvain Toulouse, use a pink and brown color scheme, they aren't too girly. Not only do I love the riff off the trendy X shaped emblem, I love the subtle typography in the background behind the contact information giving it some depth. Found via Looks Like Good Design. 2. Flixel Remember way back, when I posted The Girl with the Bow Dress? Well let me introduce you to a new app Flixel that will let you make small animations out of your own photographs. Seriously neat stuff. I downloaded it at home and couldn't find anything that was moving so I just turned my kitchen sink on and filmed the water pooling in a dish. Found via designworklife's link to Fast Co Designs's article. 3. Catia and Rui's Wedding Invitation The art of wedding invitations

As I mentioned in my Photo A Day post, I haven't left the house much. And for awhile, I was working from home a lot which leads me to this post. My home office is a disaster. Andy and I had dreams of a Pirate's Den even before we got this house but our lair has merged with a distribution center for BBQ sauce! I still have high hopes that we can make our two fields work together, even keeping our Pirates theme. I promise Andy, I will not throw out your endless supply of USPS boxes. For now, I am just thinking and planning—thanks to other bloggers and Pinterest, inspiration is not hard to come by. Here's just a few of my favorites (click the image for source)

1. Anthropologie's Magazine For all you Anthropologie fans out there, have you seen their online magazine? I love how "magazine-like" their blog has been designed down to the "next story" (rather than post) buttons and pull quotes. Found via Facebook. 2. Everplaces App Everplaces may just be another app to log places you've been but the interface design makes me want to try it out! You can log favorite restaurants and other places you've been, making note with photos and suggestions on what to do there. Then follow others to get their tips and suggestions
