If I haven't said it a thousand times already, Jess and I make a great team! So when she came to me with the idea of a vintage summer birthday party for her son's second birthday, back in probably November haha, I had many months to get excited to get started on the project. This time, she left it fully in my hands on what to do. She just gave me a photo of a lemonade stand that she wanted to make and then said go. I thought about it for a month or two—seriously, she always gives me plenty of time—and came up with using watercolor as a way of coloring in the invitation. And since her colors started as being yellow, gray and white, I thought a simple line art illustration would work perfectly. Just to show Jess the layout I wanted to go with, I sketched out a rough idea. Once she saw it, she suggested adding the pendant banners. Love! And then we also decided to add the blue and green to add some more color and make it more kid like. It was for a 2 year old's birthday party after all. I then traced the photo

Just a month after the wedding, I posted an in depth recap of that glorious day, when my best friend married the man of her dreams under the trees, amongst the hills of Temecula Valley. While this post shares my best friend's wedding on a whole, I wanted to share a few photos of the behind the scenes of parts I got to work on! To make it to that gorgeous day though, a lot of craft nights (and mornings, and days, and weekends) had to happen. Because she loves me, or my writing I should say, I got to hand letter on just about everything! From the invitations to the cake topper

I'm so excited to share this new shop with y'all! Over the past few months, Rachel has been racking my brain regarding all things Etsy so it's been fun seeing this come together! And just last weekend, her Etsy boutique went live! In her own words, Rachel describes her scarves: After having my darling daughter Amelia, I really felt inspired to start using my creative juices and get crafting. Since being fashionably dressed has always been a must for myself, Amelia now gets to share in that same joy! Scarves are a staple in my winter wardrobe for staying warm and cute so it only made sense that Amelia have her own as well! Voila! Mama & Mia, scarves for littles and their mamas and basically anyone else with a neck that needs a little lovin! The Mama & Mia scarf is handmade, hand knit, chunky infinity scarf, made from 80% acrylic and 20% wool yarn. A couple weeks ago, we got together to take some photographs of her infinity scarves product line. Little Mia napped as we shot all the Mama scarves and then woke up just in time to model the Mia scarves for us. Hope you enjoy the images as much as I

Christmas is closing in on us yet again! I still can't believe this year has came and went so so fast. And what a year it was! One of the joys of Christmas that I always look forward to is receiving Christmas cards in the mail! Here are a few designs I helped my friends create last year along with our very own Christmas card design (for whatever reason they never made it on here last year!). Each of these 3 designs are listed in my Etsy shop so head on over there if any of these would suit your needs this year. All you have to do is provide me some photographs and your desired wording/verses and I can customize your card for you! You will then get a file back to order your cards through whatever service you'd like! I have a few to recommend too! P.S. Here's a sneak peek into the hand lettering of our 2013 card

Jess mentioned in her post that she LOVED how this invite turned out, and I would have to agree! I think it must have been the excitement in the air from finally having a baby girl coming to our group (who lives locally)! Quite often, Jess chooses the theme and colors from the baby-to-be's nursery. Trisha did such a darling job with Molly's nursery! With teal walls and pink chevron set by Trisha, Jess introduced the hot air balloons for the shower. All that to say, the shower was picture perfect and I have finally listed the invite in my Etsy shop! And it comes with a bonus item: a Thank You note printable! See a few more of the photos from the shower on Jess' blog

Miss Amelia made her debut a few weeks early, gracing us with her presence on June 8, just weeks after her baby shower. Rachel and I wasted no time in getting together for photos exactly on her one week birthday. The little princess did not want to show us her skin but I did manage to snap my favorite photo before we bundled her back up! She just loved being close to her mama

Oh man have I been excited to post about Kathleen's amazing shower. Down to the smallest detail, I loved every little bit of it! And it was quite a combination of decorations starting with quite a few DIYs, Amie's upcoming wedding (thanks again Amie!), my travel themed living room, the Rooftop BBQ trailer (recognize that chalkboard above?), and even a potato sack from Lauren's Central Park shower (see that "coffee bean" sack above?)! Let's start with the invitation though, shall we? While driving home from the hospital on the day Parker was born, Lauren (Kathleen's wonderful matron of honor) and I were brainstorming about shower decoration possibilities. We had long ago settled on a travel cafe theme and with the spark of the idea of a muffin and coffee mug sitting on top of a suitcase, the invitation came to be. Funnily enough, when talking with the bride about her wedding invitations, we went with the tall and slender business size for those as well! And speaking of the bride
