Grayson’s First Bug Birthday Invitations

grayson-bug-birthday-sketchI can not believe this little boy is now one year… or almost 13 months at this point. Counting in months seems to calm his mama’s heart a bit. 🙂

Jess posted all about Grayson’s party a few weeks ago, which made me *almost* forget to post about it as well!

I just wanted to show you the adorable little invite we created for the party as well as a few other photos I took throughout Bug’s bash. Are you ready for the cuteness?

Jess had the same woman from our church create this cake as you may have seen from Josiah’s party. Seriously, I am amazed at her talents!

We also made a little guest book poster for everyone to “sign.”

And now a few photos of the birthday boy himself, looking so handsome with his new haircut! I felt like papparazzi following him around getting as many photos as I could of him and all his friends.

And of course, this post wouldn’t be complete with G and his cake! I love his little grin here!

Here are a few more bonus photos for you!

The adorable Mr. Eli who is turning 5 this month!! Eeek! This may be one of my favorite photos of him yet, taken just seconds after he found out there was a jolly jump!

And then the mommy of the birthday boy and his aunties!

Jess, you really threw one amazing first birthday party!!

Parker, 2 weeks, Newborn Photography and Birth Announcement

See a couple of Parker’s photos at 2 days old here.

I cannot describe how much love I have for this growing group of friends I have been blessed with. Not only do Andy and I have some wonderful friends, but their children are just the sweetest and we love each and every one of them.

Our newest friend, Parker, is now almost 2 months old but it felt like it was just last night that we were at the hospital awaiting his arrival. So without any further ado let me introduce to you the newest member of the Ryan clan by giving you a glimpse into Parker’s 2 week old photos as well as his announcement that Kyrene and I collaborated on!

Even big brother Hudson joined us for some photos outside—he’s already such a great big brother—always kissing and tickling his baby brother.

Parker’s Birth Announcement

I loved the simplicity of his announcements and how the type came out along with the lovely linen texture of the card. And it makes a lovely addition to our fridge! 🙂

P.S. The texture applied to the photos in his announcement is actually the same one we used on his parent’s Save the Date! I loved that little detail too!!

Recent Work for Runway Bridal, Brochures and Thank You Cards

Last year, Tessa and I worked on rebranding her bridal hair stylist business… to gain more clients, we designed a tri-fold brochure for their team to leave at some local wineries and other locales that their target market brides would frequent. I really love Tessa’s style and love how the design of the brochure came out!

The brochures, and Runway Bridal’s marketing skills, worked their magic and gained them quite a few new clients and weddings already this year (including my bestie Amie’s!) so we got together again and created some A2 thank you cards to send out to their brides. Another project that was fun to design…

Way to go Tessa and Amy on all your new business!

Once Upon a Time, Rachel’s Fairytale Baby Shower Invitations and Bookplate Stamp

Now that you’ve seen Rachel’s maternity photos, the next glimpse into the shower would be the baby shower invitations!

I drew inspiration from Mary Blair’s work on the credits from Cinderella and then applied Rachel’s nursery’s color palette with its pinks, peaches, and mint greens.

The “Once Upon A Time” mark was handwritten as well as Rachel’s name, then a combination of two other typefaces, a modern serif and a medieval display text completed the invite.

This really was a work of love, and definitely one of my favorite invitations yet!

In addition to the invitation, I created a bookmark with Rachel’s favorite verse, Jeremiah 29:11, as the shower favors. Along with a print to go along with it for the nursery as well.

All of these pieces of the invitation can be bought in my Etsy shop: Your New Friend Sam.

In addition to the invite pieces—and to go along with the storybook theme—I created a custom bookplate stamp for Amelia’s baby books.

Also available in my Etsy shop.

So many fun projects were created and designed for Rachel’s shower! I can not wait to show you rest of the photos from the day of… tomorrow!

Pankratz Wedding Save the Date

save the date kraft stamp_0372

Can I just say that I love my job as Amie’s matron of honor and wedding designer? Seriously, this year I think I’ve seen my best friend more than the last couple year’s combined. While I am so happy that her and Matt are getting married, I am also selfishly happy because now I get to buy a new dress (or two or three for showers and such :)) and have a blast crafting away with Amie!

One of our latest projects is compiling her Save the Dates.

Her amazingly talented wedding photographer took their engagement photos in March (see more photos here) so we got to include those in the Save the Date as well.

It was another scrapping night for Amie and me but they came out so beyond adorable!

First off we created a monogram and did most the writing by hand which we then ordered custom rubber stamps of the final design.

We really wanted to keep the handmade look we achieved in the engagement party invites so we rubber stamped the edges and then used decorative tape to hold the photo in place.

For the front, we waited for the photos to be taken to be able to design around whichever photo they chose with their adorable hand painted banner.

Once Amie and Matt selected their photo then I did some more custom type for the “Save the Date.”

We also created a custom return address rubber stamp as well for the linen envelopes (if you’d like your own custom return address stamp, check out my Etsy shop!).

All in all, I love how they came out. And I love that Amie kinda let me “do my thing” in coming up with the designs as well—its so encouraging when the client truly trusts you.

This really was a super fun project!! Now onto the wedding invites…. 🙂

See more of Amie’s wedding festivities.
