Jess mentioned in her post that she LOVED how this invite turned out, and I would have to agree! I think it must have been the excitement in the air from finally having a baby girl coming to our group (who lives locally)! Quite often, Jess chooses the theme and colors from the baby-to-be's nursery. Trisha did such a darling job with Molly's nursery! With teal walls and pink chevron set by Trisha, Jess introduced the hot air balloons for the shower. All that to say, the shower was picture perfect and I have finally listed the invite in my Etsy shop! And it comes with a bonus item: a Thank You note printable! While I'm away here in Maine, I still wanted to make sure I kept my usual post schedule. So while I get to be with this little cutie and her family in person this week, I wanted to share some photos of our time we spent back on the west coast at the San Diego Botanic Garden! I mean look at those thighs! :) How adorable is their little family of 3! And I know I'll get some *loving* feedback but I just had to post these photos of my parents loving on their new great (or is it grand?) niece. Oh and hey, Andy and I even got a photo together too! Now that is a rare occassion! And then the trip wouldn't be complete without a walk along the Pacific coast. Looking forward to posting even more photos of this adorable family once I get back from being here on the east coast! :)

See a couple of Parker's photos at 2 days old here. I cannot describe how much love I have for this growing group of friends I have been blessed with. Not only do Andy and I have some wonderful friends, but their children are just the sweetest and we love each and every one of them. Our newest friend, Parker, is now almost 2 months old but it felt like it was just last night that we were at the hospital awaiting his arrival. So without any further ado let me introduce to you the newest member of the Ryan clan by giving you a glimpse into Parker's 2 week old photos as well as his announcement that Kyrene and I collaborated on! Even big brother Hudson joined us for some photos outside—he's already such a great big brother—always kissing and tickling his baby brother. Parker's Birth Announcement I loved the simplicity of his announcements and how the type came out along with the lovely linen texture of the card. Now that you've seen Rachel's maternity photos, the next glimpse into the shower would be the baby shower invitations! I drew inspiration from Mary Blair's work on the credits from Cinderella and then applied Rachel's nursery's color palette with its pinks, peaches, and mint greens. The "Once Upon A Time" mark was handwritten as well as Rachel's name, then a combination of two other typefaces, a modern serif and a medieval display text completed the invite. This really was a work of love, and definitely one of my favorite invitations yet! In addition to the invitation, I created a bookmark with Rachel's favorite verse, Jeremiah 29:11, as the shower favors. Along with a print to go along with it for the nursery as well.
