1. A Map of the World Book I'm kind of obsessed with maps, especially maps as art. I've even posted a whole blog on the maps and globes we have around our house (I think our collection has doubled since that post too!). Anyway, I am loving this book of maps that has been illustrated by a variety of designers. While Google Maps and GPS systems have become our tools of choice for navigation, contemporary maps have evolved into platforms for cutting-edge illustration, experimental data visualization, and personal visual storytelling. See more images and purchase the book here. 2. Newsprint Vendors Thoroughly enjoyed this post on Nubby Twiglet

1. Jeff Roger's McDonalds Ad I love putting a face to a design that I've known and loved. I had seen this McDonald's ad awhile ago, loved the painted textures and typography but never knew who created it. THen I ran acorss Jeff Roger's portfolio. And his behind the scenes process images! And then I loved this ad even more. It's just gorgeous work! See more of this campaign and more of Jeff's work here. 2. Seasons Cover by Eiko Ojala I'm obsessed with the intricacies of paper cutting

Just a month after the wedding, I posted an in depth recap of that glorious day, when my best friend married the man of her dreams under the trees, amongst the hills of Temecula Valley. While this post shares my best friend's wedding on a whole, I wanted to share a few photos of the behind the scenes of parts I got to work on! To make it to that gorgeous day though, a lot of craft nights (and mornings, and days, and weekends) had to happen. Because she loves me, or my writing I should say, I got to hand letter on just about everything! From the invitations to the cake topper

1. Jasmine Star's New Site And she did it again. The amazing photographer Jasmine Star and designer Promise Tangeman just launched a redesign of the already amazing site: jasminestar.com. With gorgeous photos to display, the website vertically scrolls (y'all know I love that feature) showing off the details with top notch typography. And of course, Lindsay Letters created some custom lettering work for the site. Basically all 3 of my favorite female work idols busted out a gorgeous new project and I am in awe. See the site here. 2. Flourish Forum I get so so excited over every single purchase made through my Etsy shop—like seriously overjoyed—but when someone purchasing something hand lettering I get so much more excited to bust out the pens and write away to my heart's content. And I know there are so many more people who feel this way. So many that a forum has been created called the Flourish Forum. How awesome is that? Thanks to Besotted Blog for the tip! 3. Bookjiig Bookmarks How I love these typographic chalk designed bookmarks! I think I need one or two, or five. Designed by Russ Gray, found via The Dieline. 4. Screen Print DIY Oh man, I so want to do

After a year of planning, my best friend's wedding has come and gone. And while that may sound bittersweet, in place of wedding planning, they now are building their married lives together. It truly is the best end to the year, and a whole new beginning to something even sweeter. All that to say, I don't know if I've ever been more excited to blog here before! And to share these photos from Harvard Photography, with a couple of my own photos thrown in there too. This was definitely a DIY, do it yourself, craft-centric wedding
