When Lauren and I first talked about getting some new photos of them taken, all she wanted was to take them in the snow. So 2 weeks later, we all drove up to Big Bear, randomly stopping along the road to take some pictures. It had been awhile since the 4 of us had hung out, and I'm so glad my hubby was there with me to help us get smiles from his best buddy.   Seriously, isn't Lauren just gorgeous! The snow really suits her. :) This is by far my favorite photo of the day. And we stopped for one last photo on the way home

This photo shoot came to being when Rachel and her little babe stayed the weekend at my house. Seeing them snuggled up together in bed sparked an idea to make a little outdoor bed complete with a wooden pallet headboard, a bedroom among the trees if you will. We definitely were just "winging" it the day we scampered about town looking for a location and finally found this grove of trees within a 5 minute drive from my house. In my head I pictured our little sleepy baby from Amelia's newborn and 3 month photos, but of course the little miss was wide awake

Christmas is closing in on us yet again! I still can't believe this year has came and went so so fast. And what a year it was! One of the joys of Christmas that I always look forward to is receiving Christmas cards in the mail! Here are a few designs I helped my friends create last year along with our very own Christmas card design (for whatever reason they never made it on here last year!). Each of these 3 designs are listed in my Etsy shop so head on over there if any of these would suit your needs this year. All you have to do is provide me some photographs and your desired wording/verses and I can customize your card for you! Amie's first set of engagement photos with her wedding photographer had come out so good that I was extremely nervous in the weeks leading up to our shoot. But I still had hoped to capture Amie and Matt as they are in the day to day, because even if you only spend a moment with them you can truly see the love they have for each other. I had to take a break from editing these photos last month as I was inspired to write my Matron of Honor speech

You may know these handsome fellas' dad, Keith from my posts on Rooftop Barbeque. Keith has been competing in BBQ alongside Andy pretty much from day one. And along with their dad, these boys come to quite a few competitions to help out the team whether its selling food or cleaning up the pit after the competition. They are by far some of the sweetest, most polite guys I know! The whole family even came over last year and spent their whole Memorial Day, Sunday helping us fill in our backyard planter with rocks! Anyway, all that to say, this photo shoot was a long time coming! And just in time for Nick's senior photos too! We went to one of my usual spots in Menifee because of the easy access to the massive rocks! And what followed was quite an adventure as it was my first time photographing a group of guys! And a special thanks goes out to my professional photo retoucher husband for taking care of editing and retouching these photos for me!

Miss Amelia made her debut a few weeks early, gracing us with her presence on June 8, just weeks after her baby shower. Rachel and I wasted no time in getting together for photos exactly on her one week birthday. The little princess did not want to show us her skin but I did manage to snap my favorite photo before we bundled her back up! She just loved being close to her mama

Oh man have I been excited to post about Kathleen's amazing shower. Down to the smallest detail, I loved every little bit of it! And it was quite a combination of decorations starting with quite a few DIYs, Amie's upcoming wedding (thanks again Amie!), my travel themed living room, the Rooftop BBQ trailer (recognize that chalkboard above?), and even a potato sack from Lauren's Central Park shower (see that "coffee bean" sack above?)! Let's start with the invitation though, shall we? While driving home from the hospital on the day Parker was born, Lauren (Kathleen's wonderful matron of honor) and I were brainstorming about shower decoration possibilities. We had long ago settled on a travel cafe theme and with the spark of the idea of a muffin and coffee mug sitting on top of a suitcase, the invitation came to be. Funnily enough, when talking with the bride about her wedding invitations, we went with the tall and slender business size for those as well! And speaking of the bride
