Photo A Day, March—Week 2
Oh my, this second week of March was a doozy. I had the worst headaches for the majority of the week (half of these photos are taken inside my house!) but at least the weekend before was wonderful—my husband's BBQ team won their first 1st place award (in pork ribs) and spent the day with friends at a baby shower on Sunday.
Photo A Day, March—Week 1
Well we made it through February, one photo a day. It actually made the month go so much faster and I don't think I like that! This first week was pretty busy! My husband is getting ready to re-launch his BBQ Rub and start selling a brand new product, a jalapeno peach jam! I spent Saturday with so many different friends so that was just a blast! Then I even got to renew my Disneyland pass and that just makes my heart happy! Here's to March and the coming madness of barbeque season!
Photo A Day, February—Week 4
If you notice from the photos, only 2 were taken outside my home. I had major headaches this past weekend and actually fell behind in my photos a day and had to have two catch up days! Yikes! But luckily, I am feeling much much better, still with some sniffles though. But here's my fourth week of February, one photo a day. Did you enjoy my #febphotoaday posts? Join me for March! The Year of Babies, Brides, and BBQ
I have officially declared 2012 as the Year of Babies, Brides, and BBQ. There are at least four babies of close friends (okay
A Moment: Mr. Eli the Photographer
I think one of my favorite activities to do with our friend's son, Eli, is to share what I love with him whether it's watching Disney movies or dancing to the music during the end credits. Or now taking pictures. One evening at our friend's Joey and Jamie's house, Eli and I sat at the counter as they prepared dinner. With the camera strapped around my neck, Eli held my camera in his little hands and took a few hundred pictures. So if any one of you have heard of this renowned mashed potato casserole of Jamie's, Eli has the whole process documented! It was just so fun to see how excited he got, not only in taking the pictures, but viewing them right after—he had to check each one before moving on to the next. He had to check his work of course! He's just such a happy guy!
Photo A Day, February—Week 3
The weekend included a celebration of my mother in law's birthday, early morning garage sales, two trips out to celebrate my friend Brittany's engagement and then the week began with a terrible cold. It may just be a cold but my head has become a snot making factory running full time and my throat seems to have a swallowed a tennis ball without my noticing! Yuck! Going full throttle for a few weeks has left me with no energy, I have slept over 12 hours each of the last two nights! I am hoping the rest of the week goes more smoothly and slows down quite a bit! My third week of February, one photo a day.
Soundsational Parade, Disneyland, USA
I MISS DISNEYLAND! Okay, so it's only been a month since I've been, but just knowing that my pass has expired makes me sad. I need to go and soon. To help with my aching, I was looking through some photos from past trips and realized I had never posted these from my first and only time seeing the Soundsational parade at Disneyland. I am so out of touch of my Disney-ness that I don't even know if this parade is still going! What is wrong with me?! Anyway, enjoy a few photos from the parade as I continue to ache for the happiest place on earth
Photo A Day, February—Week 2
This past week has been pure craziness! From the work week to the weekend and back to work again. It's been a nonstop hustle and bustle. I must say my favorite day was last Saturday because I got to see so many of gal pals in one day! Starting with a movie and lunch date, then some baby shower planning, then bridal dress shopping, and finally a celebratory 26th birthday dinner! So much fun for just one day! So, here's my second week of February, one photo a day. See Week 1 of #febphotoaday!
Brittany and Eric’s Engagement Portraits, Costa Mesa, California
In December, one of my best friends—since second grade—got engaged! Brittany has been known as my laughing buddy because when we get together that's all that happens! She just makes me laugh and her laugh is infectious in the best of ways. Her bubbly personality brings everyone in as if you've been friends forever. And that's how she makes you feel, even strangers. And she sure knows how to have a good time! That's a guarantee when spending time with my P*A (stands for pineapple, don't ask). Four years ago she met Eric. Eric in so many ways is Brittany's perfect guy. After so many years of Brittany making all of us smile, now he makes Brittany laugh and smile—all the time. So if you know Brittany, and thought she was so happy before, wait until you see Mrs. Totah-to-be. You can't help but smile—the whole time! Your cheeks will hurt! In a good way! ha! I am so so so excited for their wedding this November! I am so excited for all the dancing during the reception, but most excited to be stand up with Brittany as one of her bridesmaids as she becomes Eric's wife! Ah!! This is too much
Photo A Day, February
Have you ever tried to take a photo each day? My friend Amie and I did for one whole year in 2010. It was fun but some days it was hard to remember to take a photo. One photo to represent the whole day! But some friends and I have been taking a photo a day according to a list created by Fat Mum Slim. The list gives you a prompt for each day, day one was to take a photo of "My View Today" so I took a photo of my computer with the design project I was working on. Then Day 2 was "Words" so I took a photo of my daily reading for the Bible in 90 Days challenge. And so on and so on. It's not too late if you want to join in! I've been posting my photos on Instagram but you can use anything you want from Tumblr to Facebook, just add the tag #FEBphotoaday! Here's my first week of February, one photo a day.
