Evernotes Every Friday

1. Been Everywhere

I am sure you’ve heard the Johnny Cash Song, “I’ve Been Everywhere,” but have you heard of The Everywhere Project?

In “the Everywhere Project” a select group of designers and illustrators are invited to create luggage labels, each representing one of the 92 locations that appear in the American version of the song. Each artist has the oportunity to share their personal take on a place they’ve been, have connections with, or a place they only recently learned about.

Since seeing this project on designworklife, I have subscribed to their blog and love seeing the variety of colorful illustrations come through each day. See more here, how many have you been?

2. Microsite by Soleil Noir

Similar to last week’s Evernotes Every’s feature of Frank Chimero’s new site, this microsite by Soleil Noir also has an incredible effect when you scroll through the site. I was hooked on the illustrations alone, but then once I visited the site I was blown away. Give it a try here. Found via Looks Like Good Design.

3. Stark Skincare

After studying package design, I love to see the various ways products differentiate their label compared to the rest of their line. I love how Poly used color, shape, and a variety of cross hatching to have each Stark Skincare product stand on its own. Found via thedieline.

4. The Light / Shadow Art of Rashad Alakbarov

I seriously have no idea how you would start a project like this. How do you envision the end piece and know where to place each hanging object?? Amazing! See more here. Found via Rachel Marie’s Tumblr.

5. Anthropologie Beauty Packaging

Can you believe I have only been to Anthropologie ONE TIME?! It’s so sad to say that… but I live vicariously through its website and design posts like this one, featured on the dieline. Their creativity in their store displays does not end there of course, but this packaging for their perfume is just gorgeous from the shape of the bottle to its topper, to its box to its label. I love every bit!

I believe in magic. I believe in the power of true love. I believe in fairy tales and happy endings. And I live to create stationery and art for the young at heart to allow my fellow dreamers to treasure all of life’s most wondrous moments!
