Evernotes Every Friday

1. Oh Hello Friend’s New Shop

I was so excited to be able to stop by the brand new Oh Hello Friend shop Wednesday night on my way to Disneyland. Excited is actually an understatement. I was so overwhelmed by the quantity of quality handmade goods, vintage finds, and overall shop decor that I ended up only buying a pack of rubber stamps! I already regret making such a small purchase, so I am already scheming on when I can get back out there. Plus, I got to meet Danni… which was my first time ever meeting someone from the blogging community. On another note, I was catching up on her blog posts yesterday and it is so awesome to see how far she has come from starting her blog 5 years ago. I think I have been following her blog for just 2 of those but it is definitely one of my favorites. You can find her shop in downtown Fullerton, 122 N. Harbor Blvd, Suite 103 / Fullerton / 92832.

2. Peter Pan, “Night Duel” by Scotty Reifsnyder

After visiting Oh Hello Friend’s shop, I made my way to Disneyland and got to stop in to see the latest WonderGround Gallery exhibit. I love all things Peter Pan so I was instantly drawn to this piece and had to look up the artist, Scotty Reifsnyder. After finding his site, I saw that he is the same artist I featured back in November who worked on the Martin Treu site! With the stark difference in color schemes, I didn’t even realize it was the same guy! Now its so obvious of course! 🙂 Anyway, I just had to feature his work again because I just love this piece—and its available for purchase too!

3.  A Good Layout

This Good Layout post is an excellent reminder on what graphic design is truly about! Found via Andrew Kolb’s Pinterest.

4. French Postal Graphics

Just wanted to share a great design resource (funny that this comes after the Good Layout post that specifically says “perfect letters  or ornaments do not make perfect posters”)… download a PDF of these French Postal Stamps from Just Something I Made. So many possibilities—for me, I can definitely see using these in a few wedding stationery items coming up! Thanks to You Smell on Pinterest for the find!

5. Rustic Painted Sign DIY

Another great DIY for an upcoming wedding—or even a DIY for our BBQ booth! Found via Leisa Remp’s Pinterest.

I believe in magic. I believe in the power of true love. I believe in fairy tales and happy endings. And I live to create stationery and art for the young at heart to allow my fellow dreamers to treasure all of life’s most wondrous moments!
