1. Swiss Air

Now that work has slowed down a bit these past couple weeks I have been able to catch up my design blogs. Which is something I love to do to get inspired for upcoming projects and also to see what’s new in the design community. One blog I have been following since its conception is Vintage Me Oh My. Megan has a keen eye for design and I loved her recent post of these layouts for Swiss Air. And I totally agree with her as she asked, “Does it seem like Swiss Air was always on top of their design?”

2. Dave’s Gourmet Hot Sauce, Concept by Amber Asay

Last year—well in 2011—I posted my birthday wish list (25 Wishes) and one item I requested was one of Dave’s Gourmet Hot Sauce, Insanity. It’s by far my favorite hot sauce! It’s got crazy hot spice where you should never have more than a drop applied to your food but it also has flavor (I hate hot sauces that are just hot, and that’s it, no flavor but heat). Anyyyyyway, I found Amber Asay through designworklife’s post, and I love her concept to revise the Dave’s Gourmet product line. She based her design on wood cut type and the prohibition era as—something I never knew—the Insanity sauce was at one time banned for being too hot! I also like how she used X’s to show the strength of heat. sidenote: Dave’s Gourmet now has a sauce that uses the Ghost Chili pepper—do not attempt to consume or you will regret it.

3.  ‘Que Pinterest Board

A current design project that has been on the table this month is a revision to the Rooftop BBQ sauce my husband created. My eyes have been scouring the Internet for all things barbeque as we work on the new label… excited to show you and share some upcoming news with y’all when its time! You can follow my BBQ findings on Pinterest here.

4. Jess and Russ

Way back when I posted the amazing wedding story website of Jess and Russ… well they got hitched and their wedding was posted on Green Wedding Shoes… I just adore their custom designed tattoos! I had to show my bestie who’s getting married this year—both her and the hubby to be love tattoos! As their wedding’s graphic designer, I sure hope to be able to pull off some custom tattoos for them as well. That would just be too cool! Check out the rest of their wedding photos as well, of course their wedding stationery is to.die.for as Jessica Hische is one amazing designer/letterer extraordinaire!

5. Done Not Done

And to finish up today, check out a new site and app, Done Not Done. As they say, it’s “the to-do list for things you want to do, not the things you have to do.” You can save the movies you want to see, books you want to read, and even music you want to listen to. Sweet idea! Found via swissmiss.

P.S. Shout out to Jessica, my friend and co-conspirator, from J. Rose Photography who is celebrating her birthday today! Looking forward to dinner, cupcakes, and some good old fashioned bowling tonight! Give her some love!

I believe in magic. I believe in the power of true love. I believe in fairy tales and happy endings. And I live to create stationery and art for the young at heart to allow my fellow dreamers to treasure all of life’s most wondrous moments!
