Evernotes Every Friday

1. Magpie Paperworks Font Collection

Ever since I was a child I was obsessed with fonts. My mom and I would always point out fonts we recognized to each other throughout our days running errands. Have I mentioned that I have always been such cool kid?! Anyway, to sum up, I love fonts! And I really love this new collection from Magpie Paperworks! And it’s only their debut collection so I can’t wait to see what else they come up with! More of the collection can be found here.

2. Deep Festival by Puchu

Gotta love the attention to detail in this infographic-like designs by Puchu. What a creative take on a show poster to better visualize the schedule of performances. Found via the Graphic Exchange.

3. A Year of Sun with Mr. Persol

I just adore this commercial! The illustration with its retro-style contrasts with the art of animation and that’s what I love so much. If you saw a still of this commercial, you would never image it was animated. I seriously need to learn to draw—properly! Found via Veerle.

4. Pantone Tarts

Seriously? So adorable and tasty! More Pantone Tarts can be found at Anthology Magazine.

5. Sherlock Holmes

The Sherlock Holmes series can easily be my favorite movies. I love the art direction, the plot and script, the actors, and of course the end credits sequence. Right after I saw the movie on opening day I looked up the designer but had no luck finding the company. I was so happy to see that the Graphic Exchange posted about Prologue’s work on the credits and even posted more about the unused concepts Prologue presented. Please check out the post on the Graphic Exchange, which do you think is a better design? The open book look as seen here in the final credits, or Prologue’s presentation of the chess pieces and Holmes’ office?

I believe in magic. I believe in the power of true love. I believe in fairy tales and happy endings. And I live to create stationery and art for the young at heart to allow my fellow dreamers to treasure all of life’s most wondrous moments!
