Last spring, the talented wedding planner and stylist Loukia Arapian reached out to me to create a suite for an elopement she was planning at Lake Geneva in the Swiss Alps. Even though the couple was eloping, they had the most stunning details and I loved being a part of it! I love creating suites with watercolor washed handmade paper. A lot of love goes into every single page. As the elopement would be outdoors in nature, we sealed the invitation with a rooted tree and tied with thin gold thread. Gabriela Oswald Photography created such magic that day, I love her eye and her light and airy feel in the photos. I'm truly honored to have been a part of this day, I just wish I could have been there in person! So gorgeous! Last June, I traveled down to the Milagro Winery in Ramona, California for a wedding styled shoot. I love when I get the chance to actually attend a photo shoot in person. The creativity is just so contagious. I love watching talented people come together to use their skills collectively as a team to build something magical! This particular shoot had such a romantic feel to it! The color scheme centered around dusty blues, cream and peaches. I had so much for designing the stationery and other lettered goods! When the shoots are photographed by multiple people, I try to select just one to highlight so my blog post is cohesive, but this time I just couldn't pick just one. Hope you enjoy seeing this wedding through these many skilled eyes

As featured on Wedding Chicks! You may not know this, but Rapunzel is my favorite Disney princess! I love her spirit and her heart. And her love of the arts! I jumped at the chance to design an invitation for a Tangled themed wedding! I bought books about the art of the movie to dive deep into its conception and learn more about the background of its artwork. My concept of the invitation artwork was inspired by Rapunzel's hair when her and Flynn go into town. The top left florals wrap around behind the main part of the invite, and end at the bottom right. I threw in a bird and butterfly for good measure and then lined the edge of the circle with gold metallic dots to represent the lanterns that the town lights each year. And then on the details page, I painted a yellow lily-like flower to represent the flower that gives Rapunzel's hair its healing powers. While these details are subtle and may be missed by the average viewer, I loved creating them and wanted to give the suite an added depth that only the strongest Rapunzel fans may notice and appreciate. I really love the end of the year! October and November are such crazy busy months but I just love my job so much! And then by the second week of December, everything just slows down and I can enjoy that special time of the year with my family! I adore these photos supplied by Kaitlyn's wedding photographer, Lyndsie Smith. Dusty blue envelopes for the win! This shade of blue has just been so popular. I was pretty excited when the inquiry came in! Plus, I LOVE addressing envelopes! When Kayla Denae told me she was going to do a giveaway for a styled engagement session, I jumped on board to create a special calligraphy piece for the couple. But then when she shared her ideas for the shoot, I couldn't decide which quote to go with so I just made them both! Please go take a look

Last February when I first shared this sketch of Cinderella's castle, I made the connection with Michelle Santiago of Neva Michelle Photography. I was so blessed that she wanted to photograph a whole suite built around this sketch! Needless to say, I was thrilled with the result, and a year later, this is still my favorite photoshoot! A bit more about the process: I wanted a vintage look for the invite. No fonts, but all handwritten! Each piece of handmade paper was painted with a blue and gray watercolor wash to age the paper and the cherry on top was a pink and silver wax seal of a crown. Even the postage stamps were on theme and I am still so in love! I love crafting wedding invitations, layering in textures and colors and small nods of personality!

Last spring, I created this Disney inspired Sleeping Beauty invitation suite. I wanted to design a suite that perhaps Aurora would have chosen from her princess wedding, a wedding dripping in garden florals with hints of gold! And of course I went with pink, but threw in accents of blue so all the fairies would be happy! The suite and handpainted song lyrics were lovingly styled and photographed by Neva Michelle Photography.
