Crossing Borders

Just before November’s trip to Utah I realized that since April, I have traveled out of California each month except for August. And as the year ends, top lists begin cropping up all over so here is my recount of my year outside of this lovely sunshine soaked state…

April & May

Spend the last week for April and the first week of May in New York with my best friend Joyce for her 26th birthday! It was a spur of the moment trip and worth all the craziness! It was also the first time I got to see her as Mrs. Matthew Sears and she sure has become a fabulous domesticated wife!

June & July (Part 1)

Andy and I went on a road trip to Kansas, South Dakota, and Colorado with BJ & Melissa Rice. It was a great trip away with friends, family, and a wedding!

July (Part 2)

My first mission trip to Mexico could not have been more fabulous! I loved every second of it no matter the challenges.

September

Rooftop Barbeque’s first out of state competition… and the most winning-est! The boys brought home a fourth place in pulled pork and the People’s Choice award.

October

For our second cruise ever, we decided to bring along the family and that sure made for a much more interesting trip!

November

The girls and I ventured to Utah at the passing of our dear friend’s mom. It was a joy to spend time with friends but definitely bittersweet celebrating such a wonderful woman’s life.

December

And here I am back in California after a quick turn to Arizona with Rooftop. It was by far my favorite competition so far! Great food, family, and so much festivities!

2010 was great and I’m excited for the new year!

I believe in magic. I believe in the power of true love. I believe in fairy tales and happy endings. And I live to create stationery and art for the young at heart to allow my fellow dreamers to treasure all of life’s most wondrous moments!
