Vintage Marketplace, Christmas Traditions 2012

vintage-marketplace_0640

Last year, I started attending the Vintage Marketplace. An craft fair held several times a year in Rainbow, California.

Every year, the December fair is themed to Christmas and has a plethora of handmade and vintage goodies that are all about this wonderful holiday!

This year, I asked my mom and her fabulous and fun friends to join me. We each walked away with a handful of goodies and gifts, and even a plant! Here’s a few (okay, many) photos of this past weekend’s adventures to the treasure trove at the Vintage Marketplace.

Junk Art Gypsy

This booth is new to me as I missed the summer market. Junk Art Gypsy has a very unique and different vibe than all the other vendors here, with more of a 50s feel and style. The large lit up letters would be so cool to have in any home, even though I ended up not purchasing one, I am hoping to find a home for one somewhere—anywhere—and pick one up at the next fair in March.

The Beehive Cottage

I had a small list of certain items I was looking for, ranging from Christmas gifts to decor for my house, but one item on the list was an ornament for this weekend’s upcoming Ornament Exchange at my church. And I found the perfect ornament! I can’t wait for the exchange… even though I may end up trying to win my own ornament!

Earth Cookie Creations

On my last visit here, my mom and I discovered Earth Cookie Creations. She carries a variety of vintage finds, but my favorite are her paper goods. She handmakes the most beatifully crafted scrapbook-like greeting cards for all occasions, from graduations to sympathy to holiday to bridal and baby showers. After buying 3 for $12 last trip, I regretted not buying any more for more occasions to last the year. I did not make that mistake again! For my husband grandmother, I bought her a Christmas card as she loved loved loved the birthday card I sent her (and she has no idea I didn’t make it, let’s keep that secret between us okay?).

You can find Earth Cookie Creations online for upcoming shows and on Etsy!

Other Vendor Finds

One day I hope to have a vintage fan like the one below… one day. 🙂

Thanks for joining me on a quick trip to the Vintage Marketplace! Their next show is in March, hope to see you there!
