Evernotes Every Friday
1. Tabspresso
Tabspresso may be one of my favorite website designs. The layers of texture add such depth to the design. The detailed illustrations and immaculate typography creates a flawless experience for the user. My favorite little element though is how a navigation bar at the top of your screen appears as you scroll and of course that is also perfectly executed. Found via Dribbble.
2. Explosions In The Sky Poster and Art Print
Here’s the first of two videos today… I just love love love process videos where you can really see and appreciate the work goes into a piece that may look simple to the common eye. The hours and hours DKNG Studios spent sketching, development, and finessing is incredible and in this particular piece, I love seeing the layers of texture being added and arranged. Enjoy! 3. Typophile Film Festival 5 Opening Titles
Handcrafted with love by BYU design students and faculty, for the 5th Typophile Film Festival. A visual typographic feast about the five senses, and how they contribute to and enhance our creativity. Everything in the film is real—no CG effects!
Typography truly is beautiful. Please comment below if you, like me, watched this with your jaw dropped in awe! Found via Cameron Thorne, a classmate from CSUSB’s, Facebook page.
4. Illustrative Product Styling
As I mentioned in my Evernotes Every a few weeks ago, I have researching product styling and this illustrative idea caught my eye immediately! The food alone is gorgeously laid out but the watercolor and line art brings a pop of color and design that really enhances the photograph! Found on Dietlind Wolf’s propstyling blog.
5. PixArt: Fatherhood, by Rogie
A perfect blend of illustration and Disneyland! Plus a beautifully written story by Rogie about what Disneyland means to him:
It’s about not losing that childhood spark and being in the moment
