Evernotes Every Friday

1. Harvest 2011

Rarely do I let a Ty Mattson piece go by without including it in an Evernotes Every! The following piece really had no chance though! Not only is it skillfully created in Mattson’s illustrated style, but it’s for Harvest, the Christian crusades in Southern California, and it has a classic Disneyland icons. Really, how perfect is this piece for me to post?!

2. The Girl with the Bow Dress

How sweet is the follow image? Not only is it beautifully lit, but her hair and dress move so subtly! It just love it! And there’s a ton more on the From Me to You tumblr. This one in particular was created for Katie Ermilio.

3. Geri’s Pets

I can’t let a Evernotes Every sneak away without some Disney love.  Designed by Andrew Kolb, when asked to contribute by the Pixar Times. I am huge fan of hidden secrets throughout the Disney parks and films, but this poster sums all that up, themed to Pixar. There are items and characters from all the Pixar features and their shorts. I must admit that there’s a few I can’t like the Incredibles or even Toy Story… And what are the second dogs down on the left for or the gerbils? And I am thinking the Cars reference is the badge on Geri’s (from the Toy Story chess short) jacket. My favorite part is that Kolb went beyond the films and shorts and incorporated A113, the classroom number from CalArts that many Pixar creators are from, that has been incorporated into EVERY Pixar film. This kept me quite enthralled! Hope you enjoy it too! Found via the ImagineeringDisney tumblr.

4. Godspeed Poster

A poster created entirely out of bike parts. Each piece was inked and then digitally arranged over a pencil sketch then letterpressed at Beast Pieces. The piece combines typography, texture, and innovation. More images can be found here.

5. Grill’d

This post may not have a wedding invitation, but it certainly needs some BBQ (everything is better with BBQ, as my husband would say). While Grill’d restaurant is a burger joint, not BBQ, it inspired me as we continue to develop our Rooftop BBQ brand. I love how there’s such a variety of pieces and they all have a cohesive look while being able to stand apart as well. Found via designworklife.

I believe in magic. I believe in the power of true love. I believe in fairy tales and happy endings. And I live to create stationery and art for the young at heart to allow my fellow dreamers to treasure all of life’s most wondrous moments!
